Ashley Scott - 8U Royal
Ashley joined the Blue Devils organization last season as an assistant coach for the 8U team and will be stepping into the role of head coach this year. Prior to joining the Blue Devils, she spent over 10 years coaching her three children’s teams, gaining valuable experience in youth sports.
Her daughter, Logan, currently plays on the 12U Royal team, while her daughter, Brentley, is entering her second season with the 8U team. Ashley has a passion for working with younger players, focusing on helping them develop strong fundamentals, teamwork, and a true love for the game.
James Sinnott - 9U Royal
James has been part of the Blue Devils organization for three seasons. He began as an assistant coach with the 8U team in his first year before stepping into the role of head coach the following season. This year, he continues to build on that experience as the head coach for the 9U team.
His daughter, Rhyan, is a member of the 9U roster. James is committed to helping players strengthen their skills, grow in confidence, and enjoy the game of softball.
Alan Rutan - 10U Royal
Alan has been with the Blue Devils organization for nearly seven years. He began his coaching tenure as an assistant coach before stepping into head coaching roles. Currently, he serves as the head coach for the 10U Royal team and as an assistant coach for the 18U National team.
Alan is also an active member of the Blue Devils Board of Directors, helping guide the continued growth and success of the program. He has three daughters, two of whom are current Blue Devils players. Alan is passionate about teaching the game, mentoring athletes, and fostering a positive and competitive environment for all players.

Josh Jensen - 14U National and 11U Royal
Josh has been part of the Blue Devils organization for nearly eight years. He began as an assistant coach before stepping into head coaching roles, and he now leads both the 14U National team and the 11U Royal team.
Josh has two daughters in the program: Lexi, who plays on the 14U National team, and Landry, who plays on the 11U Royal team. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Josh serves on the Blue Devils Board of Directors, holding the roles of Treasurer and Secretary. His leadership, both on and off the field, has been instrumental in the continued success and growth of the organization.
Brad Chandler - 11U Royal Assistant Coach
Brad joined the Blue Devils organization in 2021, beginning as a supportive parent cheering from the sidelines. His enthusiasm for the game and strong connection with the players quickly led him to transition into an assistant coaching role.
In addition to coaching, Brad serves as a member of the Blue Devils Board of Directors, where he helps guide the continued growth and success of the program. His dedication runs deep, with his daughters Paisley and Nova both playing on the 11U Royal team. Brad brings energy, encouragement, and leadership to the field, fostering a positive experience for all players.
Shaene Duffy - 12U Royal
This is Shaene’s fifth season with the Blue Devils and his fourth as a head coach. Over the years, he has led teams at multiple levels, including two seasons at 10U and one season at 11U. He now serves as the head coach of the 12U Royal team.
Shaene’s daughter, Ashlin, plays on the 12U Royal roster. With a focus on player development, teamwork, and competitiveness, Shaene continues to build on his coaching experience to help his athletes grow both on and off the field.
Sara Matheny - 12U Royal
Sara has been part of the Blue Devils organization for three years. She brings two years of coaching experience along with a strong background as both a youth and high school player. This season marks her first year as an assistant coach with the Blue Devils, where she will be working with the 12U Royal team that her daughter, Bella, plays on. Sara is excited to help guide and support the players as they continue developing their skills and love for the game.
Brandon Bauer - 12U Black
Brandon joins the Blue Devils organization with more than a decade of coaching experience. He has spent the past five years coaching softball and seven years coaching baseball with other area teams, developing a strong track record of teaching fundamentals and building competitive teams.
This season, Brandon brings his knowledge and passion for the game to the Blue Devils as the head coach of the 12U Black team. He is excited to contribute to the growth of the program and help his players continue to improve both on and off the field.
Lanny Downing - 13U Royal
This is Lanny’s first season coaching with the Blue Devils, but he brings a wealth of prior experience to the program. He previously coached youth baseball for 14 years and has spent the past three years coaching youth softball.
Lanny is excited to join the Blue Devils organization as the head coach of the 13U team, where he will also be coaching his daughter. He looks forward to helping his players grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game.
Dave Hedrick - 14U Royal
Dave has been with the Blue Devils organization for eight years. He spent his first five years as an assistant coach before stepping into a head coaching role, which he has now held for the past three seasons.
Currently, Dave leads the 14U Royal team. His daughters, Olivia and Averi, are both part of the program—Olivia plays on the 18U Blue Devils team, while Averi plays on the 14U Royal roster. Dave is dedicated to developing strong fundamentals, teamwork, and a positive playing experience for all his athletes.
Grace Farris - 16U National Team

Scott Beck - 18U National
Scott has been a head coach in the Blue Devils organization for nine years, coaching teams at every age level from 8U to 18U. He currently serves as the head coach of the 18U National team.
Scott’s oldest daughter, Jordyn, played six years with the Blue Devils and is now continuing her career as a pitcher at Baker University. His younger daughter, Jocelyn (JJ), is a member of the 18U National team. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Scott also serves as the current President of the Blue Devils organization, where he provides leadership and vision for the continued growth of the club.
Todd Gralund - All Around Blue Devil Guy!
Todd has been with the Blue Devils organization for more than 10 years and brings over 16 years of coaching experience. Throughout that time, he has coached and supported his two daughters as they grew through the program, starting at the 8U level.
For the past four years, Todd has also served as a dedicated member of the Blue Devils Board of Directors, helping guide the organization’s growth and success. His long-term commitment and leadership make him an invaluable part of the Blue Devils family.
